Today, this blog hits the five month mark; I made my first post on May 6.

I added the sitemeter on or about May 15.  As of today, the sitemeter’s logged about 13,600 page views and about 7,000 visits.  (A “visit” is a cluster of page views by the same visitor with no more than 30 minutes between page views.)  Great fun!

Two apt definitions for a blog:

Circumlocution, n. A literary trick whereby the writer who has nothing to say breaks it gently to the reader.

and

Diary, n. A daily record of that part of one’s life, which he can relate to himself without blushing.
